- When is the campsite open?
The campsite is open from April 20 to September 8.
- What is eco-participation?
Our plant is subject to natural resource extraction charges (clean water) and waste reprocessing charges (wastewater, household waste, recyclable bulky items). This is a compensation and awareness-raising charge (€0.40 /pers/night).
- Is the campsite quiet, even in season? Is there a night watch?
The campsite is guarded at night. The campsite remains calm and family-friendly even in high season. Entertainment ends at midnight at the latest.

- I don’t have a GPS, how can I find your campsite? Is there an access map?
From Aubenas, at Ruoms, follow signs for Vallon Pont d’Arc. At the SUPER U traffic circle, go straight ahead and at the next traffic circle, take the Alès/Grospierres (D111) direction. The campsite is 800 m on the left, after the restaurant Le Plan B.
When you arrive from St Remèze, drive through Vallon Pont d’Arc, towards Ruoms. At the traffic circle before Ruoms, follow signs for Ales/Grospierres (D111). The campsite is located at the third road on your left, 800 m after the restaurant Le Plan B. .

- Friends or family are likely to visit me during my stay. What happens if they do? Can they go to the pool if you pay extra?
Visitors are asked to report to reception on arrival. Admission is free for visitors, but they do not have access to the swimming pool. You can also enjoy our beautiful riverside sandy beach, our restaurant and all our sports facilities.
- Are barbecues allowed? What should I bring?
There are collective charcoal barbecues on the campsite, so all you have to do is bring your own charcoal. Our PREMIUM mobile home range includes a gas plancha, and you can bring just one electric or gas barbecue in your accommodation. We also offer gas barbecue rental, from €5/day.
Charcoal barbecues are strictly forbidden on the pitches.
- Do you accept groups?
We accept groups, seminars, cousinades, etc. Please contact us by e-mail or telephone for a quote.
- How does wifi work at your campsite?
You can choose the duration of your stay on the OSMOZIS website: by the minute, by the hour, by the day or by the week. Simply choose the package you want and pay directly on your computer. You have free 30-minute access every 6 hours from the bar-restaurant.
- Do you accept vacation vouchers?
Yes, we accept Chèque-Vacances ANCV and e-connect (nominative vouchers for people staying at the campsite), except for payment of the deposit for your stay.
- Where can I find a cash dispenser?
We don’t have an ATM on the campsite, but you’ll find one in the center of Ruoms or inside the SUPER U supermarket.
- Do we have to sort waste on your premises?
Yes, we have one specific area inside, in the center of the campsite, hidden by a specially designed hedge, for household rubbish, plastic and cardboard garbage cans, as well as glass and compost bins.

- I’m interested in staying at your campsite. How can I book?
By internet: you can check availability, prices and book directly on our website. A deposit of 30% of your stay is required. The online payment system is secure. You will receive a booking confirmation as soon as possible.
Call 04 75 39 64 94 or e-mail contact@campinglagrandterre.com. We’ll check availability together and put a 7-day option on your chosen stay. A reservation form will be sent to you by e-mail or post, depending on your choice. It must be returned to us completed, signed and accompanied by the deposit to make the booking definitive.
- What payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank transfers (please specify the name of the reservation or reservation number), cheques, Chèque-Vacances and e-connect (which must be nominative and correspond to the persons staying). Deposits are only accepted in Chèque-Vacances, Tickets Restaurant (for the bar-restaurant), credit cards (from 10€) and cash.
- Can I choose my pitch number and specify it when booking? Is there an extra charge for this?
There’s no extra charge for requesting a campsite location. You can therefore specify your wishes and expectations when booking, and we’ll do our best to allocate you the most suitable pitch.
- What are the possible arrival days?
Mobile-home arrivals are possible every day of the week, subject to availability (with a minimum 7-night rental in July/August).
For Ascension weekend, mobile home rental minimum 3 nights.
For the Aluna Festival weekend, mobile home rental minimum 3 nights.
Pitches are available on an overnight basis, so you can arrive any day of the week.
- How can I get a quote for a stay at your campsite?
You can request a quote by clicking on the booking tab on our website, or contact us by phone or e-mail. For a quotation for groups with the possibility of half-board, please contact us by e-mail or telephone.
- When can I make a reservation? Can I book from one year to the next?
We do not take reservations from one year to the next. The opening date for bookings will be announced on our website and Facebook page at the end of each season (in September) for the following season.
- How does cancellation insurance work? How much would it cost me?
Cancellation and interruption insurance must be purchased at the time of booking. Here’s how to calculate the amount of cancellation and interruption insurance :
total cost of stay (excluding tourist tax) x 4% = amount of cancellation and interruption insurance.
In the event of cancellation, you will be reimbursed the amount of the payment you have made, except for the amount of the cancellation insurance, in accordance with the general terms and conditions of the insurance.

- I haven’t taken out insurance, but I’ve paid a deposit. Will it be returned to me in the event of cancellation?
In the event of cancellation without insurance, any payments made will be forfeited.
- Can I pay for my stay in instalments?
You can pay for your stay in several instalments, by credit card on our website or by cheque or Chèque-Vacances and e-connect (by recorded delivery).
- When and how do I pay the balance of my stay? Is there an e-mail alert to remind me?
For rentals and camping pitches, the balance of your stay must be paid one month before your arrival. Payment can be made by cheque, Chèque-Vacances and e-connect by registered post or by credit card on our website. There are no automatic reminders to remind you to pay.
- Is your campsite VACAF approved?
Camping La Grand’Terre does not have CAF approval and therefore does not accept VACAF vouchers.
- How can I change my stay?

- What are the reception hours? Off-season and in July/August?
January to March: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (closed Friday afternoons from 1:00 p.m.)
April to June and September: daily from 9:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 19:00
July and August: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 20:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00
- What if I arrive outside reception opening hours?
If you arrive outside opening hours, please contact us by telephone on 04.75.39.64.94 or by e-mail so that we can explain the procedure to you.
- Do we have to pay a deposit on arrival? How much does it cost?
There are 3 different deposits, one for the mobile home, one for the badge and one for the cleaning. Rates vary according to the type of accommodation. These deposits (bank loans) are returned to you on the day of your departure or later by post after the rental has been checked.
- At what time can I take possession of the mobile home? Can I arrive before this time?
We hand over the keys to the mobile homes from 5pm. If you expect to arrive earlier, please let us know by phone or e-mail.
- Do you rent bicycles? What are the terms and rates? Do you rent baby carriers?
We offer muscle bike and electric bike rental at reception (with child seat if required). A deposit of €150 per bike is required.
- Can I book activities from your campsite?
From our campsite, we can offer guided hikes, canoeing down the Ardèche with a shuttle service from the campsite beach, and other sporting activities such as canyoning, climbing, caving and visits to the Caverne du Pont d’Arc or Aven d’Orgnac.
- What happens at the start? Do I need to make an appointment? Can I stay at the campsite after returning my mobile home?
For mobile home departures, you need to make an appointment at reception on your arrival if you know it, otherwise no later than 3 days before your departure, and we will come and do an exit inventory with you at the time you have chosen. The inventory of fixtures is carried out between 07:00 and 10:00 in July/August and on holiday weekends.
Pitches must be vacated by 12.00 pm.
You can, of course, stay at the campsite to enjoy it. Please park your vehicle in the parking lot outside the campsite.
- Didn’t I bring my sheets with me? What to do?
We can rent you sheets (subject to availability). It’s best to book them in advance. You will find the prices on the mobile home prices page on our website. Bath towels are not provided.
- Do you rent cots or baby chairs? What is the rental price?
Cots, baths and high chairs are available for hire. The rate is €2 per night and per item.
- Is there a launderette on the campsite? How does it work?
The laundry has 4 washing machines (7kg) and a tumble dryer. Tokens (€4 for washing with detergent and €3.50 for drying) are sold at reception.
- What languages are spoken at reception?
We speak French and English at the campsite reception.
- I have a technical problem with my site. Who can I contact?
Whatever your problem, don’t hesitate to contact reception. We will try to solve your problem as soon as possible.
- Do you issue fishing permits? Is it possible to practice on the riverbank next to the campsite?

You can fish by the river at the campsite beach.
- Is the mail collected at the campsite?
We collect mail every day at 9am. We have a mailbox outside in front of reception.
Mobile homes
- Do we have to pay a deposit on arrival? How much does it cost?
There are 3 different deposits, one for the mobile home, one for the badge and one for the cleaning. Rates vary according to the type of accommodation. These deposits (by cheque, credit card number or cash) are returned to you on the day of your departure or later by post after the rental has been checked.
- Is TV available in your mobile homes? Can I bring my own or rent one?
We have mobile homes equipped with a TV, including our CONFORT and PREMIUM ranges.
A TV is also available at the bar.
We do not rent television sets.
- Do you accept pets?
Pets are not allowed in mobile homes. In the event of the presence of a pet, access to the accommodation will be refused.
- How are your mobile homes equipped with household appliances?
All our mobile homes are equipped with fridge with freezer or deep-freeze, microwave oven, coffee maker and toaster. Our PREMIUM range also includes a dishwasher, hair dryer and plancha.
- What are the dimensions of single and double beds?
You will find the dimensions of the bedding in our mobile homes on each mobile home description page.
- Are bunk beds available in children’s bedrooms?
Our air-conditioned 3-bedroom mobile homes feature a bedroom with bunk beds.
- Are all mobile homes equipped with a covered terrace?
All our mobile homes have a covered terrace.
- Is it possible to add a small tent in front of the mobile home?
You can add a small 2-person tent on the pitch next to the mobile home. However, the number of people (tent + mobile home) must not exceed 6.
- Can I leave my car on the pitch? What happens if we bring several vehicles?
You can leave your vehicle on the pitch for the duration of your stay. Additional vehicles on the pitch are subject to a charge (€4 per day per car, depending on the period). You can leave your car in the campsite parking lot (free of charge).
- Are mobile homes equipped for people with reduced mobility?
We have a mobile home for people with reduced mobility. There’s an access ramp, a bathroom equipped for PMR and the living room and bedroom are more spacious and adequate.
- Are comforters included?
Yes, we provide comforters and pillows.
- Are sheets provided?
No, you have to bring your own sheets. Rentals are also available on reservation. We also rent towels, tea towels and bath mats.
- I’m coming out of season, is there heating in the mobile homes?
All our mobile homes have heating in the living area.
Restaurant / Bar & Grocery
- What are the bar and restaurant opening times?
In July and August, the bar-restaurant is open daily.
Off-season times are available from the campsite reception. They will also be published on Facebook and on our website.
- Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are recommended, especially for theme evenings.
EPICERIE
- Do you sell ice cream, gas or newspapers?
Yes, we sell ice packs and small bottles of camping gas. You’ll also find press articles.
Entertainment
- Are the events free?
Entertainment at the campsite, including the Mini Club and Club Ado, is free of charge (a small charge is made for some activities).
- Are there any off-season events?
Yes, there are events starting in April, adapted to the number of visitors. A lighter schedule is proposed to leave room for relaxation!
- What are the Mini Club opening times? How old do you have to be to take part?
Mini Club opening hours are 10.00am to 12.00pm and 3.00pm to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. The kids’ club caters for children aged 4 to 12.
- Is there entertainment every night of the week?
There’s entertainment for young and old every night of the week in July and August.
- Do you organize welcome parties?
A welcome drink is served at 7pm every Sunday evening in July and August. We’d like to introduce you to the campsite team, practical information and activities available from La Grand’Terre. Our various partners (canoeing, canyoning, hiking, etc.) will also be happy to tell you about their services and prices.
Camping pitches
- Do we have to pay a deposit on arrival? How much does it cost?
A deposit of €20 is required for the badge to open the gate.
- What are the dimensions of a pitch?
Pitches are approximately 100m² in size. We ask you to specify the dimensions of your facilities when booking, so that we can take them into account when allocating a pitch.
- Do you lend out equipment such as extension cords and adapters?
We can lend you adapters and extension cords for customers in pitches (subject to availability).
- Are there shady pitches?
Most of our pitches are shaded. You can request this when you make your reservation.
- How many amperes are there at each location?
The connection is 10 A on the pitches.
- I’m coming by camper van. Do you have any campervan sites reserved specifically for these vehicles?
We welcome motor-home owners on our pitches within the campsite grounds, and a drainage point is available free of charge for those staying overnight.
- Are the toilet blocks far from the pitches?
3 sanitary blocks are located throughout the campsite. If you would like a pitch close to the sanitary facilities, please let us know when booking.
- Do all pitches have water and electricity?
Electricity is available on all pitches, but only the Confort pitches have water supply and drainage.
- I want to rent a fridge. Who should I contact?

The Pool
- What are the pool opening times?
Throughout the season (April to September), the pool is open from 10 am to 8 pm.
- Do I need a wristband to access it?
A wristband must be worn for access.
- Is there a paddling pool?
Yes, there are two paddling pools in the pool area, with slides and water games for the little ones.
- Is the pool heated?
Yes, we have two heated pools and waterslides.
- What are the pool rules (jumps, swimming shorts)?
Swimming shorts are not permitted. Do not run, jump or dive. Children under 8 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
- Are visitors allowed to swim in the pool?
Visitors do not have access to the pool.
